Wristband: Pacific Airshow Fri–Sun (10th year — gates 9am, flying ~10:30am–4pm). Practice jets today. Stay in town: Oktoberfest at Old World Saturday from 11am, or Calisamba free on the sand at SeaLegs at 2pm Saturday. Do not expect quiet PCH lots.

Dog-friendly
Huntington Dog Beach is the off-leash stretch (PCH between Goldenwest and Seapoint). Leash everywhere else. Pacific Airshow is not a dog weekend near the show — pets banned in the ticketed precinct; jets Fri–Sun. Use Dog Beach well north/west, or leave them home. SeaLegs Saturday: sand, State Beach rules. NWS marine PZZ655 (Thu 228 AM PDT): seas 2–3 ft, W 2 ft @ 11s and S 2 ft @ 14s. Buoy 46253 ~2.3 ft @ 11s, water ~72.7°F. No active beach-hazard statement at press time. Dawn is cleaner. Airshow sterile water box Fri–Sun ~10am–4:30pm — surf early, or Bolsa / well north. Surf & kite.
Afternoon kite · 1–6pm · north of the pier
Soft fill. NWS SGX HB hourly: 5–10 mph W/SW in the window. Windfinder: Thu ~10 kts mid-afternoon (gusts ~11). Fri marine W 10–20 kt is the stronger fill; Sat–Sun only 5–10 kt. Stay north of the pier and clear of the airshow box. Check Windfinder / WeatherFlow. Not a launch clearance.
Fishing · pier + Bolsa
Fish the afternoon high into the evening low (Thursday 12:47pm into 10:11pm; Friday 1:55pm into 11:45pm; Saturday 3:32pm; Sunday 5:10pm). Perch, croaker, maybe mackerel if bait shows. Corbina at dusk on the sand — that is a license session. No CA license on the public pier. License on beach/surf, including Bolsa Chica.
Tides: NOAA 9410599 Santa Ana River entrance — closest harmonic station, proxy for the pier, ft MLLW, Pacific time.
