Harbour boats
Private boats. Not a cattle boat. Not the pier.
HB does not run a big open-party landing the way Newport does. Almost everything out of Huntington Harbour is a private charter: you book the boat, usually 4–6 people, half-day or longer. California sportfishing license required on these trips. No license on the public pier.

Captained fishing from the harbour, 4 to 14 hour options, typically up to 6. You bring the license. They are also a Duffy rental shop — say “fishing charter” when you call so you do not get a picnic boat.
If you want an open-party boat

Not HB. Fifteen minutes south. This is the nearest landing where you can buy a single ticket on a shared boat. Half-day, three-quarter, full day. License still required.
Before you book
